I don’t upload new art often enough but I did do a neat little sketch last night while I was trying to calm down and go to sleep.

I was thinking about what it would look best as and thought the style best fit a vector. So I scanned it and made a few modifications to the design to fit with the limitations of my skills in vectoring. this is what came out of it.

I’m really happy with the result and even though I have my limitations I felt like that I compensated well. I’m really proud of this.
I was originally going to make her hair black but while I was clearing the blue lines from the sketch paper I had to use the eye dropper and realized the blue that was coming out was very soft and light. I really liked it. It just seemed to fit better than black so I kept with a gray and blue theme. Though black is used its not dominate and most of it is used to draw your eye to the center of the image. On a side note: don’t ever sketch on lined paper cause you never know what will come out of a doodle. Always keep some printing paper stuck in the back of your note book so you won’t have to deal with cleaning up the blue lines later.
The title is moon flow as stated in the title. Sketch took about 30 mins to do since I was doodling on other things at the same time. Vector took about 2:30 hours. I didn’t use a pen tool just the mouse to make the shapes.

It allways makes me made when I work hard on a layout and Internet Explorer screws it up for me. I don’t work on this site as much as a probably should but damn does it piss me off because I do have SOME visitors.
I worked VERY hard and I mean VERY hard on this layout to make it work in Internet Explorer 7 since many people use it and for a time it looked OK. it had some things shifted here and there because of Internet Exloerers horrible web standards but then I saw that they had come out with an Internet Exloerer 8. I was happy I heard that they were getting better with their web-standards and that things that work in ALL the other BROWSERS like Firefox and Opera would work fine in this new one. So I upgraded thinking I’d finely see my website look half way decent. And guess what?
Wait for it.
Wait for it…
…
IT WENT BACK TO LOOKING LIKE IT DID BEFORE I PUT ALL THIS EXTRA CODING IN TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE IN INTERNET EXLOERER IN THE FIRST FREAKING PLACE. Those bastards.
Its depressing.
I know no one from Microsoft will read this and I know they probably don’t care but you guys make the jobs for the people who design and create the Internets lives living hell with your web-standards being the way they are. I’d be nice if you’d study the other web browsers and learn from them some on how to at least make it somewhat updated. So that I can use lists properly and other fairly simple stuff look like it should. I shouldn’t have to design a website that looks good in all the other browsers then take the dreaded trip over to my Internet Explorer icon to see how horrible it looks and how long it’ll take me to get it looking fairly reasonable.
I know I’m not the best web designer or the best coder but I’m pretty damn creative when it comes to fixing problems with a design. But you guys just kill it stomp it in to the ground and then let your dog pee on it.
